Tower House and our local community
![]() |
During the year, Tower House works extensively within the local community in a variety of ways that helps broaden the knowledge and understanding of the pupils. This includes visits from our local library, Richmond Park, as well as out-reach work as part of the Dan Phillip's Award. At the end of each term local elderly residents are invited to the Junior School's music cconcerts where the younger boys serve tea and cakes to their guests. The senior choir also performs in a variety of concerts during the run up to the Christmas Season, notably the annual gathering for the local charity Active Retired as well as at the Christmas Fayre which is organised by Cancer Research at the Bank of England Sports Ground. |
We are fortunate to have East Sheen Library within walking distance and the Junior School boys enjoy visiting the library and meeting Mrs Langlands and her team. The boys learn about joining the library, borrowing books and cds and have fun listening to especially chosen stories. They are also encouraged to take part in the library's summer reading schemes.
We have also established links with the local Police Community Support team and members of the team have been in to talk to the boys and explain their role in caring for our neightbourhood.
