Chair of governors: Jamie Forsyth

 

Jamie lives in Fulham and is married to Fiona who was Secretary and Chair of FOTH. Their son, Rory attended Tower House and then went on to Tonbridge and then read English at Newcastle University.


Jamie spent his gap year teaching at Sompting Abbotts Prep School and after graduating from Reading University, worked as a property investment surveyor in Europe, Scotland and London. He attended RMA Sandhurst and was commissioned into the Scottish Brigade (Cameronians). He was made a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1984 and continues to practise as a Consultant to a number of property companies and organisations.


Jamie has a keen interest in sport having been a member of the London Scottish rugby team and the Teddington Hockey Club. Probably unwisely, he ran the Marathon in 2002 and still tries to participate in all sports.

Marwan Mikdadi MSc

 

Marwan started teaching Economics in 1997 (RGS Guildford) before becoming Head of Economics at St Paul's School in 2004. He has been examining since 2001 eventually becoming principal examiner for various AS and A2 units in 2004. He has also written extensively for Economics Today and worked with Edexcel on the development of the new A level specifications. He is currently writing an economics text book. Outside the classroom he has a keen interest in rugby and football and can always be seen with the U16b rugby team at St Paul's.

 


Mrs Barbara Humber

 

Since retirement in April 2004, Barbara has worked on a voluntary basis for Coral Cay Conservation and joined one of their expeditions to survey the coral reef in Fiji in February 2005. During the 18 years prior to retirement, she was Head of Glendower Preparatory School, a single sex girls' school in London. She was Head of Science at St Paul's Prep School (Colet Court) from1977-1986 and also taught some Chemistry and Biology in the senior school. As Head of Science at Orley Farm School (1974-1977), she was initiated into the demands of boarding school life for boys aged 7-13 years. She also taught in a maintained school in London for four years. Other activities include being a Schools Inspector for ISC/ISI since 1988, organising IAPS science lectures at the Royal Institution, London (1989-1992), setting 12+ and 13+ science exam papers as a member of the Science Panel of the Common Entrance Board. She was also Chairman of No 1South London District of IAPS from1992-1995.
