At Tower House School the emphasis on the music teaching is balance, learning classical, modern and world music in areas such as theoretical and appreciative learning, supporting this with singing and individual instrumental lessons. Work is carried out by using percussion, keyboards and singing to develop understanding across the subject, with a strong emphasis on listening to music.

Boys in the junior school are offered the choice of individual vocal training as well as small group training to introduce them to harmony and pitch by a specialist junior music teacher.

There are currently many ensembles at Tower House School, including:

1 Orchestra
1 Junior and Senior Choir
1 Swing Band
1 Rock Bands
1 String Groups

The ensembles enable the boys to consolidate their instrument learning and improve their ensemble skills. Performances include the concert series at Tower House, local festivals with joint schools and visiting local venues such as residential homes.
