Following the application, your instrumental teacher will contact you with lesson times, invoice and contract.

If your son is in the Junior School and wishes to cease lessons on his instrument a minimum of half a term’s notice must be given. If your son is in the Senior School, then a term’s notice must be given. All notice periods must be paid for.

Instruments can be hired, normally for a minimum of 3 months, from many local music companies, information of which is on the music department notice board. The music department does not supply instruments for long term tuition.

1

All lesson times are rotated so boys do not miss the same lesson each week.

Boys in the senior school are responsible for getting to their lessons in time. They should check the music department notice board for their lesson time.

1

If a boy is absent for any reason (illness, school trip, authorised absence) the parent should notify the music staff in advance.

1

Where appropriate, it is recommended that your son joins the orchestra/choir or other ensembles in order to consolidate their learning.

1

Fees should be paid directly to the teacher by either sending a cheque to them or to the school and should be paid within 14 days of the invoice date.
