The intranet code of practice.
The intranet code of practice has been drawn up to prevent misuse of the intranet at Tower House School. Emphasis should be placed on preventing misuse rather than the disciplinary procedures prior to misuse occurring.
Listed are some examples of what should not be seen on our school intranet:
| Adding comments to any discussion forum or notice board that deliberately or unintentionally degrade or vindicate another person. | |
| Uploading pictures or documents that deliberately or unintentionally degrade or vindicate another person | |
| Uploading files that are known to cause network problems, spread viruses or install spyware. | |
| Upload pictures that would cause offence across the whole school; you must understand that boys from as young as 4 years old and their parents will see pictures that you upload. | |
| Tampering with the design of the intranet in any way. | |
| Deliberately or unintentionally handing out your username and password to a 3rd party member of the school. | |
| Uploading or sharing information about downloading illegal or un-copyrighted material such as mp3s, mp4s, wma, wmv, or wav files etc. | |
| Using the email system to transmit any of the above points. |
