International Boys School Applications

International Boys School Applications

Tower House regularly receives applications from families that are relocating to London from abroad and can easily support the admissions process remotely. We would be happy to arrange an online call with our Head, Neill Lunnon and are able to forward assessments papers for your son to sit at home or in their current school.

If your child requires additional support in English, either in parallel with lessons at Tower House or in advance of starting at school with us, we can arrange this with our staff. Please contact Caroline Booth, our Head of Admissions for more information on this.

FAQs

Where do I send my daughter if my son is going to Tower House?

Families who join Tower House often send their daughters to Old Vicarage School in Richmond, with whom we have a very close relationship, with both sets of pupils benefitting from the best of both worlds. As well as our term dates and key events being arranged in parallel, every term we arrange many joint academic workshops, social events and arts productions with OVS.

For any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

How are new children helped to integrate?

We pride ourselves on enabling boys to settle in quickly. The small nature of the school means that new pupils and their families integrate easily into their classes and the wider community.

Before starting life at Tower House, we have a detailed summer induction programme for new Reception boys. For older pupils, we also recommend that the boy comes into school for a morning to spend time with their new classmates in the term preceding their start at school.

All staff take the time to make sure that new boys feel part of each class and are supported not only in their learning but in all areas of school life. Each child is assigned a couple of ‘buddies’ to take care of them during their first few weeks of school and there is regular contact between parents and their son’s Head of Year. We also ensure that parents are quickly integrated into the Tower House community with support from our parent’s association, Friends of Tower House (FOTH).

We are new to the area. Can you recommend any local nurseries for younger siblings?

We welcome boys from a number of excellent nurseries in the area and have a close relationship with each of them. We would be very happy to talk through the local options with you. For more information, please contact our Head of Admissions, Caroline Booth (admissions@thsboys.org.uk).
