How We Achieve our Aims

How We Achieve our Aims

To ensure we reach our aims and meet our commitments to our pupils and their families we have the following in place:

Opportunities for every boy

We are unapologetically a small school which allows us to work with each boy to identify strengths and support areas that need focus. Pinpointing individual opportunities that will help a boy develop is central to our provision – whether this is to support the academic, social, physical or mental aspects to a boy’s character. Every boy at Tower House will have the chance to take part in:

Highly skilled and subject specialised staff

Our staff are passionate about their field of teaching and are dedicated to sharing their passion for their subject with our boys. As well as inspiring academic curiosity, our boys are guided through the ‘soft skills’ of confidence, empathy and resilience resulting in young men that are well prepared for the demands of senior school and beyond.

Small class sizes

Our one form entry and small class sizes results in no child being left behind in or out of a Tower House classroom, with every boy carefully supported to thrive and achieve their full potential. The close, warm and friendly environment means everyone knows each other throughout the school and we are totally committed to fostering support and friendships between pupils within classes and between year groups.

Outstanding facilities for Science, IT, Art, Music, Drama and Sport

Whether it is our award-winning performing arts programme, the state-of-the-art facilities for science, IT and art or our magical reading and resource library there is place for everyone to get inspired at THS.

Fully inclusive sports programme

We are passionate about supporting our boys in their sporting ambitions! Our fantastic facilities within school and at the local Wimbledon Qualifying and Community Sports Centre enables us to ensure that sport is a core feature on the school timetable.

Everyone is encouraged to take part in competitive matches at home or even abroad during the biennial THS Cricket Tour to Barbados. Our boys compete in several regional and national sporting competitions to pit their skills against the very best sportsmen across the UK.
