Antony Phillips - Chair

Antony is a solicitor and a solicitor advocate, specialising in property-related litigation. He is Head of Real Estate at Fieldfisher, based in their City of London office. He spent 8 years on the Executive Committee of Fieldfisher, during which the firm underwent significant expansion.

Antony has lived in Sheen for nearly 25 years and was a Tower House parent for an unbroken period of 19 years(thought to be a school record!), his third boy leaving the school in the summer of 2019. As a parent, he took an active part in Tower House school life, including assisting with school plays and sports events. He is delighted to be continuing his association with the school having been appointed a school governor in Autumn 2019.

Andy Sutch

Currently Chairman of the London Council for Sport and Recreation, Council Member at London Playing Fields Foundation, and Chair of his local Sports Council. Andy is a Fellow of both CIMSPA and the RSA and has Honorary Fellowship from St Mary’s University College Twickenham.

Andy joined the Sports Council in 1976 working on facility planning before he became the Regional Director for London in 1989 and was also the service team leader for the Rugby Football Union until 2003.

He was a founding team member bidding on behalf of London to stage the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and a director of World Corporate Games staged in London in 1992.

Born in Wakefield, Andy now lives in East Sheen and since 2014 has been a non-executive director of Sports group, a lobby on behalf of SMEs in the sport and physical activity sector.

Claire Hogg

After attending medical school and gaining a BSc at St Andrews and Glasgow universities, Professor Claire Hogg underwent paediatric and early respiratory training at The Children’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

Professor Hogg is a Paediatric Respiratory Consultant, Clinical Director for the Respiratory Service and Head of the Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia Service at Royal Brompton Hospital. She is also a Professor of Practice in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at Imperial College.

She has worked closely with charities and family support groups to raise funds and develop patient services over many years. She was a Trustee for the Brompton Fountain, a charity which provides support, resources and equipment to children and their families at Royal Brompton Hospital; she is also a founder member of the Ciliopathy Alliance UK and a frequent fundraiser for the PCD Family Support Group. She is currently on the Board of Governors for Royal Brompton and Harefield Foundation Trusts, where she also serves on the Nominations and remunerations Committee.

Brian Giffen

Brian spent 42 years pursuing a career in IT with BT. He specialised in the delivery of large integrated systems including London and National Code change, Y2K and the first fully integrated customer management system. He ran an internal Software House and was awarded a BCS medal for excellence in IT management. He spent his final years with BT as Director of IT compliance focusing on the increasingly important and complex area of corporate data and financial governance.

He lives in Sheen with his wife Sandra, and supports his two sons who run Sheen and Richmond Sports (shops). He spent thirteen years as Governor at East Sheen Primary, five of them as Chair, during which time the school successfully took on LMS and received an Outstanding rating from Ofsted.

Tom Hill

Geography Teacher and Joint Head of First Year, Hampton School, London

Tom lives in Surrey with his wife, who is also a Geography Teacher. Having graduated from Durham University with a degree in Combined Social Sciences, Tom initially spent several years working in business with Tesco plc, before joining the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games to help deliver the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. Following this, he moved into teaching, and has worked at Hampton School since 2014. He teaches Geography and is Joint Head of First Year.

Tom’s sporting passion is rowing. He started rowing as a junior at school, continued at university and is now a coach for Hampton School Boat Club, currently coaching the J16 squad. He loves to travel and has particular enthusiasm for visiting wilderness locations as well as attending the Olympic Games as a keen supporter. In his spare time he enjoys experimental cooking and gardening.

Sarah Field

Biology Teacher and Undermaster, St Paul’s School, London

Sarah Graduated with a BSci in Biological Sciences from Edinburgh University and went on to Oxford to continue her research into Developmental Biology and Genetics. After obtaining a DPhil she went on to work in the pharmaceutical industry, specialising in medical communications.

Sarah’s first teaching appointment was at Grey Court school in Ham and from there she went to St Paul’s school where she has held several posts. Sarah is a keen rower and runner and continues to coach rowing at St Paul’s school.

Peter Marr

Peter's entire career has been involved in US equity markets either in portfolio management or institutional broking. He is currently a Managing Director at William Blair International and prior to that he was a Managing Director at Citigroup.

Peter is an extremely active member of the local community with considerable experience working on charitable committees. Peter was appointed Chair of Trustees of The Richmond Charities and Richmond Philanthropic Society in 2018 having been a Trustee since 2005, and is also a member of the Finance Committee. More recently, Peter has become involved in the charity, Suited for Success, as a coach. The charity helps to give confidence to young adults and the long term unemployed so that they can gain a job that could change their lives.

In his spare time, Peter is a keen sportsman spending time on the golf course, squash and tennis courts, ski slopes, running in Richmond Park and watching rugby.

A past parent of Tower House School, Peter is married with four children and has lived in East Sheen for over 30 years.

Charles Pike - Trustee

Charles is a private client lawyer, specialising in wealth and capital tax planning for both private individuals and institutions, including several charities. He qualified as a solicitor in 1974 and has been with Forsters LLP since 2007, becoming a consultant in 2014.

He has lived in Sheen for many years, and is himself an ex Tower House parent. He has worked with the Tower House Governors for some years.
