Your Tower House Adventure Starts Here
It is very important to us that our boys flourish and thrive during their time at Tower House and have every chance of emerging as confident, curious and well-rounded young men. Our admissions process has evolved to enable us to learn more about our prospective boys and their families and understand their individual needs and concerns, whilst also allowing parents to meet more members of staff, get to know other families and most importantly for the boys themselves to become familiar with Tower House and make some new friends.
Our families come from a wide range of areas in South-West London, including East Sheen, Mortlake, Barnes, Richmond, Ham, Twickenham, Kew, Chiswick, Putney, Wimbledon and Wandsworth. We have a Tower House bus service that collects our pupils each morning from Richmond, Kew, Putney and Barnes.

How do I arrange a visit to Tower House?

What are the main entry points into Tower House?
The main entry point is in Reception. Your son would join this class in the first September after his fourth birthday. In older year groups, we offer occasional places to families on our waiting lists as they arise.

How do I register my son for a place at Tower House?
In Reception, the first 18 boys registered are placed on our main list and will be offered a place at Tower House 18 months before the boys are due to start at school. In older year groups, we offer occasional places to families on our waiting lists as they arise.
To register for a place in Reception, as well as inclusion on a year group waiting list, we ask parents to complete an admissions registration form and pay a £120 registration fee.
Are there any assessments as part of the admissions process?
Tower House is non-selective in Reception.
For places in Year 1 and above, before an offer of a place is made, we invite all prospective applicants into the school to spend a morning with us. The applicant will largely spend the time with his future classmates, taking part in the lessons of the day. Depending on the age of the child, a light assessment in English and maths is also likely to take place. We also ask parents to share their son's latest school report with us.
When is your next Open Event?
Our Open Events take place termly. We would be delighted to welcome you to the school to meet staff, current parents and most importantly, our wonderful Year 8 boys who will give you a tour of their school. You will also have a presentation from the Head and have a chance to talk to him and the Deputy Head, should you have any questions.

How are new children helped to integrate into Tower House?
We pride ourselves on enabling boys to settle in quickly. The small nature of the school means that new pupils and their families integrate easily into their classes and the wider community.
Before starting life at Tower House, we have a detailed summer induction programme for new Reception boys. For older pupils in the Junior School and Senior School, we also recommend that your son comes into school for a morning to spend time with their new classmates in the term preceding their start at Tower House.
All staff take the time to make sure that new boys feel part of each class and are supported not only in their learning, but in all areas of school life. Each child is assigned a couple of ‘buddies’ to take care of them during their first few weeks of school and there is regular contact between parents and their son’s Head of Year. We also ensure that parents are quickly integrated into the Tower House community with support from our parent’s association, Friends of Tower House (FOTH).
